It was a Hit-tech!
Recently, we visited a High-Tech company located in the Randstad, named Hittech! With quite some turnout, we travelled by bus and the Taylor Taxi to their development, manufacturing, and assembly site. Upon arrival we were greeted and guided around the company, wandering deep in their assembly halls and cleanrooms. There were many interesting projects going on from the chip-industry to medical devices, they even had an automatic collection system for organizing assembly parts. During the tour we stumbled upon a 5-degree of freedom stage demo with micrometre accuracy. The engineer of stage could give us deep technical insight into its development, exchanging each other’s experiences with challenging projects. After which, the machine returned to its dark corner, as it was just laying around as a “spare” part. The tour concluded with the opportunity for some coffee and snacks. Whereafter, we received quite an elaborate case-study, mixing technical details with financial budgeting aspects. Here we were challenged to think outside of the box, come up with cost friendly solutions and pitch each other’s ideas. There was no winner to be concluded that day. At last, the day ended with some drinks and conversations with Hittech’s engineers. Far too short in my opinion, as the bus arrived before my second beer, ready to pick us up again…
